NEW ARTIST:MIKE HOUGH

Mike Hough is an Up & Coming Singer/Songwriter born in London.

Signed under the management of UK Industry Proffesional choreographer "Kymberlee Jay" he has already started to record his first solo album as an artist.
Mike has been recognized and spoken about from celebrities such as Taio Cruz, Jazmine Sullivan and Chris Moyle's and has thousands and thousands of fans around the world after gainging just under 1,000,000 views on "YouTube" and still going.

Mike Hough tried out for the X-Factor in 2007 but when he didn’t manage to get through to the live shows it sparked a change in him. “At first I took it to heart, and for a while although I didn’t stop singing my heart wasn’t as full as it was before.”

After two years of working a tedious nine-to-five, Dagenhamite Mike realised he had to make sacrifices for the most important thing in his life – music. “I handed my notice in. Since I quit work I’ve struggled, I’ve had no money, no other jobs, and I’ve been forced to sign on but I can’t complain because I’m doing it for my music, and ‘cause I’m not at work, I am always in the studio.”
Mike decided to flip the X Factor formula around – he tried out again in 2009, but with a different aspiration. “I really just wanted the recognition! I know how it feels not to get through, and I didn’t want to feel like that again. I just wanted my audition to be shown on TV, and it was!”
YouTube was what turned r’n’b singer Mike Hough’s fortunes around. He started putting his music videos and ‘vlogs’ online in 2007 and after the extra exposure he has had a total of 1,000,000 views and now a management deal. Mike said: “Before, if a record label wanted to find new talent they’d go to an open mike night, but now they are just looking on YouTube. It’s so obvious!”
So obvious in fact that as Mike’s YouTube views pile up, so do the amount of raving fans and the record deals he has been offered. “I have a massive fan base; I’ve had a girl ask if she can have my name tattooed on her body. There are people sending pictures of themselves wearing I love Mike Hough t-shirts.

“It’s mad but the more the labels see things like that, without any promotion it shows them I have something special to offer.”

The evolution of an artist is something that should not be fabricated. “Simon Cowell can change their body and their mind however he wants, and yes, all of the X Factor Winners have had a number one, but that’s not the way I want to make it. I don’t want to win through a talent show, I want to do it myself and win the original, hard way.”

Mike said: “The harder you work, the quicker it will come, the faster you will reach your dream. The struggle is a drive.” Like Iyaz, Owl City and Justin Bieber – Michael Hough will be the next thing to leak from the internet into the mainstream.
Mike Hough has the potential and the voice to be up there with Joss Stone,Matt Goss,James Morrison,Lemar,Beverly Knight,Usher,Adele even Elton John which is big talk, he has the best vocals i`ve heard in years.

DRAKE`S LETTER TO AALIYAH

As you may know, today marks the 9th anniversary of singer Aaliyah Haughton’s untimely passing. Rap Radar reached out to Drake to get his thoughts on that ‘unforgettable‘ day, and here’s what he had to say about the late singer:

I’ve never lost a parent, a friend, or a lover but I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I remember getting the news that you had passed and it connected with my heart like a clean shot from Muhammad Ali. I was crushed. Not only was I one of your biggest fans but I was truly in love with you. I loved the way you carried yourself, the way you dressed, the confidence with which you addressed passion and relationships in your music. I said to myself that even if we never met, I wanted a woman in my life just like you. I am pained that we will never get to connect now that music ended up being my career path. But you should know, we all listen to you everyday and we remain inspired and moved by all that you’ve given the world. I hope I make the right life choices so I can end up in heaven where I know you rest your head. I’ll continue to make music in your honor until the day we finally meet. Dinner’s on me!

Love you always and forever,
Drake

MISSY ELLIOTT REMEMBERS AALIYAH, 9 YEARS LATER

MTV: I’m sure you have so many memories of Aaliyah. What was it like the first time you met her?

Elliott: When me and Tim first went to work with her, we were so nervous. She was such a big star, and I was scared she was gonna be some diva, sipping on tea, with people fixing her hair and nails, and she would say, “What is this music you got! It’s wack!” But when we walked in the studio, her smile made the whole room glow! She was like “Heyyyyy!” and gave us big hugs and made us feel like we were her cousins from down South. She was a very sweet spirit! Never seen her angry as long as I’ve known her, and in this business, that’s unheard of!

MTV: What memory do you revisit most when you think about Aaliyah?

Elliott: We’ve had so many memorable times. My most memorable is when me, her and Tim wore outfits alike! It was burgundy Pony outfits to the awards. Mind you, Aaliyah was petite so her Pony outfit looked so cute on her, but I kept looking at mine during the awards whispering to her saying, “I feel like a big-ass pony for real!” And we laughed and laughed! Too many memories to state them all! If she was still with us, she would still be at the top. Because she always stayed pushing herself to be better. R.I.P. to the fallen star.
