“Video Premiere: Marsha Ambrosius ‘Far Away”

Soul singer Marsha Ambrosius has just premiered the music video for 'Far Away' , the new single from her upcoming debut solo album 'Late Nights & Early Mornings' due out on February 22nd. The video is directed by Julius Erving III and deals with sexuality issues that people face and raises awareness against bullying.

"Dear friends, every year over 1 million people commit SUICIDE. Some were BULLIED because of their SEXUALITY. I lost a friend to SUICIDE, and I'm asking all of you to support alternative lifestyles . New Music: Vikter Duplaix – ‘Morning Fun’ Feat. Common

'Morning Fun' is a new single from underground artist Vikter Duplaix featuring rapper Common. The track is taken from Vikter's mixtape titled 'For Players Only'. The track begins as Vikter wakes up to see that his lady is dressed and ready for work, but he has some unfinished business from the night before that needs to be handled. Tweet Confirms New Album for 2011…

The Southern Hummingbird aka Tweet the singer has just confirmed via Twitter that her long awaited 3rd album “Love, Tweet” will be dropping this year. The album was supposed to come out in 2008, but after numerous push backs & label changes Tweet's new album will finally hit shelves at your nearest music stores very soon. I'm so excited.

She says:"Ok this year I will be releasing LOVE, TWEET my 3rd album. No date yet ....still ironing out the business part of things!!!" Via-MS_HUMMINGBIRD
"Love Again" was the first track to leak off the album a year ago. Produced by Charlie BeReal and Craig Brockman, which one of Tweet’s favorite tracks off the album. “It’s about being confused after you’ve been hurt by love,” Tweet says of the song. “It’s like, ‘Do I want to get back in the game? New Music: 7 Aurelius Feat. Nicole Wray - "The Boomerange Effect", "The Grudge" And "Lollipop"

R&B producer 7 Aurelius (who is best known for producing Ashanti's smash hit "Only U") has released 3 new songs called 'Boomerange Effect', 'The Grudge' and 'Lollipop" all taken from his upcoming mixtape titled "7 Aurelius: The Hits, Volume 1" due out this month. The tracks feature vocals from R&B songstress Nicole Wray, his production is so refreshing and Nicole's vocals are so crazy.

New Music: Jazmine Sullivan - 'I'm Not A Robot'...

Just a day after announcing she was taking a break from the music industry, an unreleased track from Jazmine Sullivan leaked titled 'I’m Not A Robot'. Produced by Salaam Remi, the track expresses Sullivan’s drained frustration over the harsh climate within the industry, she sings, “I gotta get out of this program and find out who I really am; I’m not a robot”.
This might be the last track we hear from Jazmine in a while, so enjoy.

First Lauryn Hill, now Jazmine Sullivan?!?!

I'm beyond shocked. I never knew in a million years Jazmine Sullivan would leave music. But unfortunately that was the case yesterday; and what a start to kick off 2011. Miss Jazmine Sullivan has announced via Twitter that she is retiring from music to "catch up on herself". Now we've heard this before via Lauryn Hill's comment in 2002. She said the exact same thing, and it's been 9 years and still no release. I can't believe Jazmine would do this. I mean, the Grammy's are in the next few weeks and Jazmine has been nominated for two. Why did she do this???



I honestly can't bear to hear another chick in R&B (mainstream wise) who doesn't have talent. I mean Ciara is good but she's trying to be a pop icon (not working). Beyonce is great BUT she has been praised more as a pop icon and no longer sings much R&B/Soul as she did back in '03 & earlier. Keri Hilson is good BUT it's hard to imagine her singing soul. She's more of a pop artist . The only artist who's out now who has a soulful voice is Keyshia Cole but her success is slowly diminishing like Jazmine's - underrated. I really want Jazmine back now!!! She's beyond talented and soulful and she was possibly the only R&B chick out now who wasn't scared to think outside of the box. With Jazmine gone I don't know what's going to happen next. From this I can just sense a sign that R&B is going to be like Hip-Hop: swallowed underground.
